The 5Star Sprint US Snowboarding Grand Prix took place this weekend in Mammoth Lakes, California, where riders competed in halfpipe for a share in the $90,000 USD prize purse and a maximum of 850 TTR World Tour Ranking points.  At the end of the day, it was halfpipe queen, Kelly Clark (USA), who took the win in the women's field, claiming her fifth major TTR title of the season.  In the men's field Matt Ladley (USA) took the victory.  This was a crucial result for many riders, especially Kelly Clark, who moved into the TTR World No.4. The Grand Prix was the last major TTR tour stop before the 6Star Burton US Open where the final Swatch TTR Top 10 will be set in stone for the 2010/11 season.   Kelly Clark Moves to World No. 4 After Taking Her Fifth Major TTR Title of the Season It was a sunny day at Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth Lakes, California where riders dropped into a perfectly groomed 22-foot halfpipe for qualifiers in the morning and finals in the afternoon.  Kelly Clark once again was head and shoulders above the competition and took down the 5Star title with her massive amplitude and smooth style.  Kelly won with her first drop in the finals, which was made up of a frontside 900, backside 540, frontside 720, Cab 720 and finished with a stalefish.  With her win today, Kelly moved into the World No. 4 position and is looking good for a top finish for the season in the TTR Rankings.  She had this to say about her victory today, "This was a really big win for me. I couldn't be in a better place heading into the US Open".  Coming in second place behind Kelly was, Gretchen Bleiler (USA), and Canadian rider, Sarah Conrad, rounded out the podium in third place.   American Matt Ladley Takes First Major TTR Title, Benji Farrow Moves into World No. 9 In the men's competition, Matt Ladley put down a clean winning run that consisted of a backside 540, frontside 900, backside 900, frontside 1080 and a Cab 1080.  Mammoth local, Greg Bretz (USA), took home second place and Louie Vito (USA) finished in third.  Further down in the final results, American rider, Benji Farrow finished in tenth place.  Benji has been a regular on the TTR World Tour this season and with his result at the Grand Prix boosted his TTR ranking to World No. 9.   The Last 6Star Event on the Calendar
